Dog Training Supply

I recall 3 men trying to kill the hero who lures them up into the high Sierras to his cabin where he is familiar with the area. He eventually picks them off one at a time. One is killed and “hung” up in the breezeway on the porch of the cabin. The other two notice but don’t cut him down as they continue to search out the hero. The hero then sets himself up in the dead man’s place “hanging” in a harness on the porch and is able to pick off the other two as they walk by without noticing the change in persons.

I have a vague memory of the lead role being Randolph Scott or maybe Scott Brady, but I can’t find it in the IMDB. It’s one of those memories that has managed to imbed itself and I can’t remember much more about it. Does anyone else recall this brief scenario?
