How do I train my dog not to bark at guests?
I have a 5 year old Black lab/ collie mix. Whenever he hears the littlest of a sound he would bark uncontrollably. My grandmother is who most takes care of him, but she doesn’t want to put up with his constant barking at guests and nearby sounds.
My family members and I are against the shock collar approach, any suggestions on how we can train him to not bark as much?
Say NO in a very loud firm voice, and it make it growl like. It works with Toby. When he doesn’t bark, reward him. Please don’t get a shock collar, if you’re going to get a collar, get a spray collar, it doesn’t hurt your dog.
