Best way to contain dog when there is no fence on either side of house?
I will be renting a single family home that has a fenced-in backyard except at the front so it does not close off on either side of the house. What would be the most affordable and convenient way to keep my dog from running into the front yard and out into the street? She has been trained on an invisible fence in the past but from my research, I’m not sure if that fits what I need because I only want to block off the two areas that seperate from front and back yard on each side of the house.
EDIT: I will be renting this home so I will most likely be unable to build a fence on the property. The backyard is very large and I want my dog to be able to run freely. Is there a type of invisible fence that I can install solely on each side of the house or does anyone know if they are just one long wire?
You have 2 realistic choices – get some sort of fencing to close the gaps or keep your dog on leash when outside.
