Invisible Dog Fence- but not underground!?
I recently purchased the kit for a Guardian (Petsafe) Underground Fence, plus additional flags and wire as needed.
My backyard is 300 yards long and 90 yards across, wood fenced in on three sides. The fourth side is my house. My inside dogs dig out. This is to make it so the don’t have the time at the fence TO dig under!
I’m not going to put it underground except at gates, because it would be a hassle to find the problem if there was a split somewhere. I’d like to attach it to the wooden fence and am considering construction staples. I’m a 130 lb no-muscle girl. I do NOT have an electric stapler. I’ve only ever had to use it to put shingles on our new shed.
Any other, viable ideas? Or should I should I just buck up and do it in portions until my arm dies?
You can use the smaller staples and a hammer. It isn’t that difficult really. It takes a little time. I did the same thing with mine. I attached it to my existing fence and just dug a trench under the gate. I have 1/3 of an acre. Plus I’m female, old. and fat. It only took me a half a day and several thousand cuss words (hit my thumb with the hammer).
