How much do I need to water new sod?
We are in a new house and the sod has just been put down. We had a sprinkler system installed and the guy told us to water twice a day for half an hour each time. The problem is that the ground underneath the sod is so mushy that our little dogs have a hard time not making a divot in the sod….are we watering too much?
How long before we can roll the grass out so that our lawn will be smooth?
is it raining where you are?
is it Arizona desert?
do the sprinklers put out lots of water?
or just a little?
quite clearly, if it’s soggy, then you’re watering too much.
it does need to be wet, but not soggy.
also, you might try to find another spot for the dogs, at least until the grass really sets up.
