Why does my dog attack the electric fence?
I have a smart 1 yr male rotty/shepard mix. I have had nothing but problems with my in-ground electric fence. While I am at work, he has dug and ripped out the wire several times in the same place. To make matters worse, he will bark at the fence for hours on end and drive the neighbors crazy. I sure it’s not a training issue; it seems to be like he is playing with it or just plain wants to rip the wire to pieces. Please Help!!
It’s because the electric fence has caused him pain! His natural instinct to pain is to bite the cause of it.
