Pinch collar on smaller dog?

Is pinch collar suitable for smaller breed dog? I heard they are good tool for leash training, my dog is a puller but he is only 10lbs …

I use one on my 17lb dog, just remember that it isn’t the tool that trains the dog – it’s the handler. When used improperly they CAN hurt the dog.

But pinch collars are not “inhumane” – they where made to mimic the bite of another dog. When you see dogs correcting one another, they don’t beg or plead: they bite. Period. This collar merely helps humans achieve the same thing.

I consider allowing the dog to pull until it chokes to be “inhumane.”

PS – harnesses encourage pulling by making it more comfortable for the dog to pull. Even the “gentle leader” ones that clip from the front. I’ve had dogs pull right out of them.
